Fellowship Education Life Long Learning Opportunities With Seniors (FELLOWS) is an intergenerational program that
promotes student academic and social growth. The program helps create well-rounded students while simultaneously providing senior volunteers
opportunities learn about today’s younger generation. A senior center resides in the school to create a sense of community and provides a setting
for additional intergenerational exchange.
FELLOWS volunteers, 50 years of age and older, have a passion to make a difference in the lives of children. The volunteers come to school on a
regular basis, at least two hours a week, to assist with classroom activities, field trips and other special needs of the school. Volunteers are
oriented to school policies, receive training, and participate in HIN developed training opportunities.
